HELL WITHIN: Singer MATT MCCHESNEY Hasn't Left The Band

June 13, 2007

Massachusetts-based metallers HELL WITHIN have issued a statement refuting reports that the frontman Matt McChesney has left the band to join Daytona Beach, Florida's THE AUTUMN OFFERING. "Matt is helping THE AUTUMN OFFERING out in a bad situation," says HELL WITHIN. "He is only recording an album for THE AUTUMN OFFERING. They have no singer and they need to get a record done. It was wrong of them to post 'formerly of HELL WITHIN' [on their web site]; he is not formerly of HELL WITHIN, Matt is in HELL WITHIN. HELL WITHIN is Matt's main band and THE AUTUMN OFFERING is a side project.

"HELL WITHIN will be touring with Matt on an East Coast run that is shaping up for August in support of their new record 'Shadows of Vanity'. HELL WITHIN is not looking for another vocalist. HELL WITHIN with Matt as the lead man will see you soon."

"Shadows of Vanity" was released in May on Lifeforce Records. The CD was tracked with longtime producer John Ellis and diligently mixed by Mark Lewis of AudioHammer Studios (TRIVIUM, BURY YOUR DEAD, GOD FORBID). Cover artwork was handled by acclaimed graphic designer and artist Paul Romano (MASTODON, TRIVIUM, THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD).

HELL WITHIN's debut album, "Asylum of the Human Predator", was released in April 2005 via Lifeforce Records.

Formerly known as TWYTCH, the band released a self-titled debut album in 2001 (under their previous moniker),followed by the "Hatred" EP in 2003, before changing their name to HELL WITHIN and switching to a more brutal and technical direction.
